Tone It Up Sweet & Sassy Lemonade

The classic refreshment doesn't have to lead to a sugar coma.

Traditional lemonade is among the worst drinks for your waistline -- it takes a lot of added sugar to balance out that super-sour lemon juice, and those sweet liquid calories have been shown to promote belly fat and increase cravings for junk. But there's no reason to miss out on everyone's favorite summertime sipper.

With a few sugar swaps, you can make a better lemonade that won't leave you with post-refreshment regret. Here, Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott, authors of Tone It Up, share their favorite way to add a little zest to your H20.

Tone It Up Sweet & Sassy Lemonade

You'll need:
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons' worth)
2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar
4 packets stevia
6 cups cold water

How to make it:
In a pitcher, mix all ingredients together and adjust the sweetness to your liking.
