Rovenia M. Brock, PhD

Rovenia M. Brock, PhD, has been a leading nutrition coach for over two decades and a contributor to national media and news outlets—including National Public Radio (NPR), CNN, and HLN—as well as The Meredith Vieira Show and The Dr. Oz Show, where she has also served as a member of the show's medical advisory board for six of its seven seasons. She is the nutrition coach who helped more than a half-million Americans lose more than 5 million collective pounds in a single season.

She is an award-winning nutritionist praised by More magazine and ShopSmart (the quick and easy guide from Consumer Reports magazine) for being one of the top five nutritionists in the country. She joins President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Oprah Winfrey on Ebony magazine's Power 100 list of the 100 most influential African Americans in the United States (2010 and 2012).

She is the author of Dr. Ro's Ten Secrets to Livin' Healthy, the e-book You Healthy and Happy: Dr. Ro's Tips for Living an Inspired Life, as well as Lose Your Final 15. She is the nutrition director of Dr. Riggins MASC in Gadsden, Alabama, a practice she co-owns with her husband, Dr. Murray Riggins. Together, they live in Alabama with their beloved cocker spaniel, Simba, and their two labs, Bert and Ernie.
